When I renamed my business to Beloved Photography, I decided to ask my daughter Katelyn to create a logo design for me. She's incredibly talented and artistic. I told Katelyn the name of my business and that I wanted a dove and a cross incorporated into my logo. I also knew I couldn't be pushy and demanding on how fast I get it back. Like most things in life, when you give it time, you get a better result than when you rush it, especially when it comes to art. This is my beautiful daughter.
I waited two weeks before I mentioned it to her. I checked in with her one day and asked if she had come up with any ideas for how she wanted to design the logo. She said she started it but wasn't ready to show me. A few days later, I asked if she was willing to let me see what she had done so far. To my surprise, it was done. She showed me the design and I loved it. I teared up thinking about how special it is that my own daughter designed this for me. It was a time of new beginnings and I will treasure it forever. I will frame it and put it in my office space soon. Looking at it makes me happy, mostly because I love her so much and also seeing your own kids creative work makes you proud. Here is what she designed for me.
The next step was taking the drawing and having it created into a usable logo. I submitted it to Denise Tuttle. She has worked with me on creating logos since 2014. She's an amazing woman and has altered my logos as my business name and design wishes have changed over time. Her logo is one I use to watermark my images and have used on my business Facebook page for some time. Here is the design she created from Katelyn's drawing.
For a while now, I have wanted my logo to come to life just a little bit more; more depth and dimension. That's when I discovered Maria B. Paints. She created a design for a photographers education group that I am in. The colors wowed me. I saw the link giving her credit for the design and when I clicked onto her page, I couldn't stop looking at her work. I've always liked watercolor but her artwork is masterful! I really have no other word for it. She does logos, wall art and more. Just click here and see how gorgeous it all is. Maria B. Paints Logo Portfolio.
She created a design for me that was pretty. When I opened it, I immediately liked it. Then I hesitated. Is this the one? I wasn't sure. It was gorgeous but I wanted even more. I was nervous how to let her know that I truly liked it but I wanted more of what she had, something that would ask her to dig a little deeper. I am so happy that she choose not take offensive but quite the opposite. She thanked me for explaining a bit further and within a few days, sent a new design. I opened it and teared up. It was so beautiful! I couldn't stop looking at it. I knew she put her whole heart into this design. She took the information I gave her and produced a customized logo just for me. I'm beyond happy with her work, her professionalism and my goodness her TALENT! If you need a new logo or painting, I highly recommend her. Just look at her page and see for yourself.
So with the help of three very talented women, this is what my logo has developed to today! Maybe I will frame all three in a sequence for my desk. They are all very special to me and all created by three different and special women. Thank you Katelyn, Denise and Maria for your talents. I love them all.
