This holiday season, I keep sharing how joyful, beautiful and peaceful this year has been, especially this Christmas. I had two weddings this December and both of them were incredibly special. I can't wait to share about them.
This wedding is of Haley and Jaden. If I could sum it up, I'd say TEARS. So many tears, even I cried.
Their wedding was genuine in an elevated way, personal and deeply engrained in their love for God and each other. Their parents, siblings and the Pastor were exclusively in attendance.
When I arrived, I saw this sort of cottage romantic look. A vintage couch, eclectic vintage chairs, roses, candle light. It was wonderful.
When I walk into a wedding and everyone's there, I can feel something in my soul about it. It doesn't matter about the details, any bustle of the people around me getting ready. I can just feel something about it all. What I felt at Haley and Jaden's wedding was a strong foundation, a commitment they made individually to God first and each other next. These two really do love each other and I struggle to find the words to describe it all. A lump wells up in my chest and my eyes start to water when I search for a way to describe the love in the atmosphere that day.
When Haley came down the aisle, Jaden could barely compose himself he was so overcome with love and adoration for her. They'd both waited for this day for a long time and it was finally happening. It was the most endearing moment.
After the ceremony, the family had some appetizers and gave speeches. The tears were flowing non stop. Watching how these families love one another, how they love Haley and Jaden and how Haley and Jaden love each other, was a gift to me.
I know God puts me in these situations to remind me of His great love for me, for marriage, of what He desires from me as a wife, mother and person. It's refreshing, beautiful and gives me peace. Christmas is a busy season but He strategically gives me these opportunities. He sets me aside in environments where His love overflows, like tears, with abundance. He restores my soul.
Here are some beautiful images from their day.
